Mike Roach and Craig Rench have more than 15 years combined experience with handcrafting furniture and fine woodwork.

Before starting Dovetail Designs Mike built bench-made furniture as well as operated the shop for Romicks Home Collection for 5 years. Prior to that he worked under Rich Tucker building custom cabinetry for Rustic Woodworks, located in Steamboat, Colorado.

Craig worked under Mike for the last few years also building furniture for Romicks Home Collection. He also spent time working with a high-end furniture designer in Boulder, Colorado. Before making furniture Craig worked as an apprentice creating pottery for Johnathan Kaplan at the Ceramic Design Group.

When they arenšt building furniture you can find them in the backcountry telemark skiing, scouting out unknown mountain bike trails, windsurfing on Stagecoach Reservoir and enjoying time with their families. They have both lived in the Steamboat Springs area for over 10 years and hope to be able to stay forever.
